Construction Dust Removal

Construction cleaning across the UK

The job

How this visit is done

Construction dust removal is the fine white dust after plastering, sanding or cutting. It sits in tracks, radiator fins and the texture of a wall. A duster moves it. A HEPA vacuum takes it out. Send the quote form or WhatsApp for a UK visit.

Vacuum first, always. Then microfibre. Water is last, and only on surfaces that will not mark. Plaster dust plus water is a paste.

Scope

Included, and what this visit is not

Included

  • HEPA vacuum of horizontal surfaces, edges and tracks
  • Radiator fins and the gap behind where we can reach
  • Door heads, picture rails and the tops of wardrobes
  • A dry wipe after the vacuum, then a damp wipe only where the surface allows

Not this job

  • We do not open up sealed ducts or strip out MVHR
  • We do not clean a room that is still being sanded
  • We do not treat this as a licence to remove silica dust from an active site without the trades stopped
Before you book

What you are looking at, and what changes the quote

Signs it is this visit

  • A white film on a black TV stand the morning after you dusted
  • Dust puffing from a socket when you plug something in
  • Sunlight showing a haze you cannot see head-on

Price

Dust-only visits are priced by how many rooms the sanding reached, not by a bag of rubbish. A flat where the dust stayed in two rooms is cheaper than a house where it has gone up the stairs.

After you decide

DIY, and how long the result lasts

DIY or a crew

A shop vac with a proper HEPA filter can do one room. A Henry or a cordless stick without sealed filtration makes the air worse. Wear a mask if you are disturbing a lot of it.

How long the result lasts

If the ceiling was sanded yesterday, more dust will fall. Wait until sanding has stopped for a day, then clean. Cleaning during sanding does not last the afternoon.

Run the bathroom and kitchen extracts after we leave so anything still in the grille is not the only air moving through the house.

Questions

Fine dust is unpleasant and some construction dust contains silica. We do not want it brushed into the air. If you suspect asbestos, stop and get it tested. We will not clean that.

Mopping first smears fines into the grain of timber and the face of glass.

Yes if the dust got in. Say so on the quote. Closed wardrobes that stayed shut are usually left.

When the sander has finished, not during. A day of settling makes the vacuum worthwhile.
