How this visit is done
After builders, glass holds paint, silicone smear, cement flecks and a plaster film you only see in sun. Frames and tracks hold the grit that scratches the glass the next time someone shuts the window. Send the quote form or WhatsApp for a UK visit.
Tracks are vacuumed first so grit is not dragged across the pane. Paint spots come off with a blade held flat. Then a glass wash. Household cream cleaner is what usually causes the smear people then ask us to fix.

- External high windows need safe access. We do not work off an unsafe ledge
- We do not replace scratched glass
- We do not remove cement that has etched the pane
- Leaded or filmed glass is detailed, not scraped hard

Price
Counted by panes and how much paint is on them, not by “the windows” as one line. A flat with a few casements is a short add-on. A house of sash windows with paint on every pane is its own visit.

DIY, and how long the result lasts
DIY or a crew
A blade and a proper glass cloth will do a couple of panes if you keep the blade flat. Scraping a corner or pressing on a flaw can scratch. If you can feel the spot with a nail, it may already be in the glass.
How long the result lasts
If someone is still painting reveals, the glass will be spotted again. Clean glass last. Dust from sanding will haze a clean pane within a day.
Do not tape fresh paint next to glass we have just cleared without a clean edge. Residue from masking tape is a separate spot job.

No. If the surface of the glass is damaged, the pane needs a glazier.
We dust and wipe. We do not stain or varnish.
Often a silicone smear, not dirt. It needs a different solvent from glass cleaner. Point it out on the walk-round.
